From Laser Cut It to The World’s Racing Tracks

We had the pleasure of assisting and providing extra-large logo stencils for the Roadgrip Motorsport team who are global specialists in track branding.

Roadgrip Motorsport have recently painted many famous race tracks all over the world, from Bahrain’s World Endurance Championships to Silverstone Moto GP 2021.

Some of the world’s race tracks are notoriously big, so as you can imagine the painting area is huge. When working with large stencils the application can be tricky, so how did they do it?

Working closely with Roadgrip’s team we advised them the best way to split their logo designs to create multiple parts. Looking through the artwork we would then find suitable areas to create a break, split and then add alignment. The stencils, once cut would then overlap, slotting together guided by the registration marks to fit in the exact position, making the application simpler, more efficient, saving time and faff.

The laser cut stencils we created for Roadgrip were made out of 350micron polyester film, which is durable and suitable for repeat use, allowing the motorsport team to paint clear and concise. With all race tracks, road markings need to be extra sharp and clear for all races, and are required to be refreshed for each event, so our reusable stencils are ideal for this type of application.

We can create custom marking stencils, any size, which can be used on all types of different surfaces, including tarmac, brick, grass and stone, perfect for car parks, playgrounds, roads, and more. We can help with finalising your design to make it work as a stencil as well as scaling, layout, planning, logistics and application advice.
